Activity Hen Weekend Location in Cornwall

In order to determine the best activity hen weekend location you need to decide what is most important to the group. Activities, Accomodation, Restaurants, Pubs and Clubs etc. Our boat is moored at Falmouth Marina, so if the focal point of your Activity Hen Weekends Cornwall, is spending the day on boating it would be logical to search for accommodation there. Falmouth can cater for all Hen Weekend preferences. It has Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants, Museums and a lot of accommodation choices. It is a lot like Fowey, but busier.

Truro is the capital of Cornwall and is not far from Falmouth. It has more nightlife and entertainment available, and is fairly central to most of the popular resorts.

The most visited resort in Cornwall is probably Newquay. It generally has a younger clientele and is consequently more noisy, with a lot of busy pubs and clubs. There is also a lot of accommodation available. The beaches at Newquay are very good and the surfing at Fistral Beach is legendary. Newquay is also relatively close to Watergate Bay and Perranporth, another two resorts with a good surf culture.

More discerning people head for Padstow, Polzeath and Rock, which are linked with Rick Stein and Royalty. Still a surf culture but a slightly better class. This would represent an hours drive to the boat at Falmouth.

St Ives is another famous Cornish resort, with a lot of tourist facilities and a lovely arty feel about it. Pretty good nightlife that might appeal to slightly older Hens than would probably choose Newquay.
